It was about 1 am in West Los Angeles. I called a rideshare and it would be 5 minutes before it arrived. This made no sense to me, there was no traffic. I know there are a lot of Uber drivers in LA.
So the Tesla showed up and I asked the driver. And he explained he worked 40 hours a week for a firm that makes a corrupt deal with Uber. Uber does not direct requests to independent drivers, they direct ride requests to those who give them bribes, no matter how long the requester / victim has to wait.
What I like about this is that it fits the corruption that is Los Angeles, the hype and bullshit of the so called gig economy, and of course the corruption of the child murderer Elon Musk.
